Short Bio
L Larson, a singer/songwriter from Hickory, NC, creates music with the goal of envelopment. Deep guitar tones and pensive melody with a tinge of something far heavier. Founding member of Lily of the Valley and Mascons, every song L touches finds its way to tragedy and strain, but not without a warmer conviction.

“Some things don’t deserve to be obscured with prose.
Truth is most potent in its crude form. The depth of my music has always come from emotional weight, rather than lyrical complexity. The goal of my straight-to-the-point attitude is songs that feel like head-on collisions.”
“As for the sound, I’d like for you to feel like you’re swimming through the murky water of Lake Hickory, with the shore barely visible in the distance. I take a lot of inspiration from Chat Pile, Loathe, Tom Waits, and Pink Floyd.”
